About the Artists

Darci Faulkner is an accomplished, award-winning artist. Her art is an expression of who she is, and that is constantly evolving, so, where many artists embrace one style and adhere to it, Darci is always reaching for something new, challenging herself to learn.

Darci grew up in rural Arkansas where she taught herself to draw and throughout her early adulthood applied her creative bent to everything from needlework to quilting to decorative painting. She never considered art as a career until she and her husband moved to a city near New Orleans where she became enamored with the vibrant, expressive painting styles of the artists in the French Quarter. One day as she stood watching an artist brush beautiful colors onto the canvas, she said, "I can do that" and as with all her other interests, Darci immersed herself in learning to paint in watercolors, acrylics, oils, and any other media. Darci studied with some of the country's best known artists and re-enrolled in college to begin working on a third degree, this time in art. Within one year, Darci was selling her work successfully in art galleries in Hot Springs, Arkansas, one of America's premier art communities.

She and her husband have two grown sons and live near Little Rock. While continuing to add to her series of Nostalgic Poker paintings, she has taken up digital photography with her usual exuberance.

Kathy Womack
is the artist behind the celebrated Women and Wine® series is now adding the Poker Series® to her resume. Her proven success with the Women and Wine® series made her the perfect candidate to capture the sport and excitement of poker with its recent surge in popularity.

Kathy got her start as a newspaper fashion illustrator in the early nineties. When the transition to computer generated imaging began, the need for illustrators lessened. Searching for a more creative outlet, Kathy left the paper, picked up her brushes, and began making a name for herself. Only five years later, at age 32, she opened the Kathy Womack Gallery in downtown Austin, Texas. Now with the imminent opening of a Houston location, and her sights on Las Vegas in the near future, she is fast on her way to becoming one of the most successful artists of her time.

Kathy lives in Austin, Texas with Scott, her husband and manager and their three children. To view the Women and Wine® series go to www.kwomack.com
